A complete, comprehensive walkthrough to help you navigate and master every feature of HealthFund Hub.
HealthFund Hub is a comprehensive platform designed to streamline and democratize global health finance. By combining AI-powered matchmaking, robust verification systems, and seamless collaboration workspaces, the platform bridges the gap between those who supply funding and those who execute health interventions on the ground.
Instead of fragmented emails and disconnected portals, HealthFund Hub offers a unified ecosystem where NGOs, government ministries, researchers, and global health foundations can discover each other, form consortia, submit proposals, disburse payments, and manage multi-year projects securely from one place.
HealthFund Hub is built around three distinct roles, and the platform adapts its entire interface depending on which role you are currently using.
Recipient
NGOs, hospitals, research institutes, and health projects that seek funding. You can browse opportunities, submit proposals, manage projects, and join consortia.
Investor / Funder
Foundations, government agencies, donors, and bilateral funders that post opportunities and review applicants. You can publish calls, shortlist recipients, and convert acceptances to projects.
Expert / Consultant
Advisors and subject-matter experts who are discoverable through the Network Directory and can be invited to join projects and consortia as specialist contributors.
You can hold multiple roles simultaneously. Use the Role Switcher at the very bottom of the left sidebar to switch between your active views. Your data is never lost when switching — each role has its own independent dashboard.
A complete profile is the single most impactful thing you can do. Our AI matchmaking engine uses your profile data to calculate compatibility scores and surface relevant opportunities and partners. A sparse profile means you will be ranked lower.
Aim for a bio of at least 150 words. Include the health challenges you address, your track record, and what kind of partnerships you are looking for. Funders read bios before deciding whether to engage.
The Opportunities page is the core hub for Recipients to find grants and RFP postings. Here is how to navigate it effectively:
Step 1 — Browse & Filter
Use the filters in the sidebar to narrow by thematic focus, budget range, deadline, and location. Switch to AI Best Match to prioritize opportunities that align with your profile data.
Step 2 — Submit Your Proposal
Click Apply and complete the proposal form. You'll need to submit a project title, an executive summary (min. 100 words), an estimated budget, and an implementation timeline. You can also upload supporting documents (PDF, DOCX).
Step 3 — Track Your Application
Go to My Applications in the sidebar to see the status of every submission: Pending → Shortlisted → Accepted or Rejected.
If you are acting as a Funder, you can publish funding calls to solicit proposals from verified NGOs and institutions.
HealthFund Hub integrates a custom AI semantic engine that powers two major features:
🔍 AI Global Search
Press Cmd+K / Ctrl+K to open the search palette. Toggle AI Search and type a natural language query — e.g., "malaria vaccine research in West Africa under $200K". The AI parses your intent and returns semantically relevant results.
⭐ Best Match Score
Opportunity cards and profile pages display a BEST MATCH % badge. This is computed by comparing focus areas, geography, budget capacity, and track record. Higher scores appear at the top when you sort by "AI Best Match".
To access funder-facing features and appear with a Verified badge, your organization must go through document verification.
Verified organizations get a blue checkmark badge, rank higher in search, and unlock premium opportunities restricted to verified entities.
Many large funding opportunities require a consortium of organizations rather than a single applicant. HealthFund Hub offers built-in tools for collaborative bids.
Creating a Consortium: Go to Consortia > Create Consortium. Provide a name and link the organizations you are currently a member of.
Inviting Partners: Use the Invite Members button to add other verified organizations to your consortium. They will receive an in-app request.
Applying as a Group: When you submit a proposal to a Funder, you can select your Consortium as the applying entity. The funder will see the combined capacity of all member organizations.
Once a proposal is accepted, it transitions into an active Project workspace, bringing the funder and recipient together.
Direct Messages
Send private, one-to-one messages to any user. Open their profile and click Message, or go to the Messages sidebar menu to resume threads. Free tier users have a monthly limit on active threads.
Broadcast Messages
Organization admins can send a Broadcast to all their members at once. This triggers both an in-app notification and an email summary.
The Browse Profiles page lets you explore the entire HealthFund Hub community. Filter by role, country, and thematic focus to narrow your search to relevant actors. You can bookmark organizations with the Favorite (heart) button for quick access later.
HealthFund Hub operates on a transparent SaaS subscription model with optional success fees.
If you encounter a technical issue, a billing question, or a problem with another user:
Support Tickets: Go to Help → Contact Support and submit a ticket. You will receive a unique reference number (e.g., HFH-A3F2). The admin team responds within 48 hours.
Disputes: If you believe a user is acting in bad faith, use the Report button on their profile. This escalates to administrators for review and potential suspension.
To maintain a secure and trustworthy environment, the platform utilizes an automated Trust & Safety system that calculates a Suspect Score.
What triggers it?
Rapidly sending identical messages to many users, repeatedly applying for grants far outside your thematic focus, failing verification checks, or receiving multiple reports from other users.
What happens if it gets too high?
Users with a high suspect score will have their applications flagged for manual review by funders, their visibility in the Directory reduced, and may temporarily lose the ability to send unsolicited message requests. If you believe your score was impacted in error, contact Support.
Throughout the platform, you will see a blue checkmark badge next to certain user and organization names.
Identity Verified
This badge means that the HealthFund Hub administrative team has manually reviewed and verified the legal registration documents, tax IDs, or personal identification associated with the profile. Always prioritize working with verified partners.
Projects and Opportunities use standardized status badges to quickly indicate their current state.
Understanding States
OPEN: Currently accepting applications or invitations.
PENDING / REVIEW: The deadline has passed and the funder is reviewing submissions.
ACTIVE: The project has been awarded and work is currently ongoing.
CLOSED: The opportunity is no longer accepting applications or the project is finished.
